At Living Hope, we want every person to
We believe this should happen as we do three things:
Exalt Jesus in our hearts in worship
Exhibit Jesus to others in our daily lives
Expect Jesus to keep His promises as found in His word, the Bible.
We invite you to come along and join us on the journey. We are a small church with a big God who has offered every believer in Jesus a new beginning. If you are looking for hope – we know the answer.
We know that finding a church can be a difficult process. Our hope is that this website will make that process easier for you. Living Hope is a place where you can be accepted, known and loved. As you explore the site, you'll get a better idea of everything that's going on in our community. In addition, you are invited to worship with us at 31 Summer Street, Penacook, NH every Sunday morning.
Service time: 10:00 a.m. each Sunday.

Hi all, I got a great insight into the ways of God in responding to prayer. It came from my friend, Scott Long, and decided to post it here for you all, with his permission.Read on.
I had a good quiet time yesterday reading the Word of God. I felt that God gave meinsight into a passage that I had not seen before. I read 1 Kings 18:42b-44. Elijah ...
“A friend of mine married an opera singer. She is a soprano. She loves concerts. Her earliest memories are of listening to Mozart and Verdi. In college, she spent hours sitting at keyboards and on choir risers. She trained her voice with the ...
We live in a culture that hates the idea of correction. We like to think that we do not need to be corrected. We hold the idea of being corrected in the same light as being shamed or punished. That is why most people run from church discipline. When the leaders of a church feel the need to correct a ...
I have been working on Sunday's sermon in 2 Corinthians 10:17 where Paul says that we should "boast in the Lord." That reminded me of Jeremiah's exhortation...
This is what the Lord says:
The wise must not boast in his wisdom;
the mighty must not boast in his might;
the rich must not boast
I have been thinking about Christ in our tragedies. I mean those times when things go terribly wrong and we feel abandoned. What happens when life leaves us wondering where God is in our pain? Does He care? Does He hear all our prayers?
I often quote Henry Blackaby who said, "The issue of God'...
Finding Intimacy with God takes a willingness to submit to Him in everything. When He speaks, we obey.
While it is true that God speaks to us as sinful people, He expects our time with Him to change us and lead us to godliness. “We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, our soul and our mind.”...
This morning I was awakened early by the Lord. I sensed the call to prayer. It seemed to me that the Lord wanted me to encourage all of you to prayer. The Bible says "Do not grow weary in doing good for you will eventually reap a blessing if you do not give up." It is easy to be...
America became a free country on July 4, 1776, however, what many may not know - or forget - is that America is also a nation under God founded on Christian principles.
54 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Christians, 27 held theology degrees. Many went on to form Bible societies.
The signers intended the document to ...
Sometimes a reading or a thought hits me between the eyes. This one is from my favorite devotional. In Experiencing God, Day by day, Henry Blackaby reminds readers of why we were saved.
"One mark of revival, during which God comes to His people, in power is that God's people are compelled to service. Many...
We want to honor Myrl Ford, who went home to be with Jesus on May 24th. Myrl, and his wife, Betty, founded this church in 1975. He served as its pastor from 1975 to 1981. This church continues God's work in Penacook today because of Myrl's willingness to step out in faith and begin a work years ago. We are sure he has a reward in heaven but...
Yesterday was the first day of summer. I love summer and I dislike it. What I love is the opportunity to get out and have fun with my family and friends. I enjoy coffee on the porch in the morning. I feel closer to God when I can do devotions in His creation. Summer is my...
I woke up this morning and heard John MacArthur talking on the radio. What he said challenged me as a parent and so I pass the challenge along to you. Happy Father's Day - to all the dads.
"Listen carefully. You have this duty as a father and I want to lay it as clear as I can at your feet. If you fail, dad, to teach...
I firmly believe that the key to pleasing Jesus is found in two areas: WORSHIP AND OBEDIENCE.
If we want the Lord to bless us with His presence and power then we must do those things. I just sat through a 12 minute music video. At first I kept wanting to turn it off and walk away. "I was too busy....
Ever feel overwhelmed by Life's problems? If so, I have a Psalm for you. It is Psalm 107. It assures us that God helps in any need.
Ps. 107:4-9 for material needs
Some wandered in the wilderness,
lost and homeless.
5 Hungry and thirsty,
they nearly died.
I did not know that yesterday was the National Day of Prayer. I did not see it mentioned anywhere.
It was not celebrated by our government or our media. It should not surprise us. After all, being a Christian is no longer acceptable. I read today that sharing your Christian faith, with the ...
